If you’ve ever stopped and really thought about your life, you’ve probably been in awe of where God has taken you from and where He is taking you to. Tasha Layton knows that well and you’ve probably heard her heart in the song, “Look What You’ve Done.” But beyond her writing and her talent, I’m impressed by the depth of Tasha’s heart. She’s a woman who knows the Bible and isn’t afraid to talk about how good God is.
Tasha Layton is performing with Newsong at the Redeemed Music Festival at Grace Baptist Church at 5471 Clarkstown Road in Muncy, PA. It’s a free outdoor concert but a love offering will be taken. VIP Tickets available for $25.00 at www.jmegministries.com.

Have you ever been lied to? Chances are you’re lied to on a daily basis by the Father of Lies. Satan is an enemy of God who wants you to weaken in your faith. Don’t let him. In this episode, you’ll learn some strategies to help you spot lies and replace them with the truth.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2Corinthians 10:5
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2
There are a couple of books I have read that can help walk you through the process of using truth to change your thinking. One is “Get Out Of Your Head” by Jennie Allen. She talks a lot about the spiral of thoughts we can get ourselves wrapped up in, and how to flip that spiral to go towards God. I talked to Jennie about her book in Episode 4 of Terese Talk. Another book that I’ve just started reading is “Truthfilled” by Ruth Chou Simons. Both do an excellent job at pointing you towards scripture to replace the lies in your head with the truth from God’s Word.

You may have heard the song, “Same God,” on Family Life. But have you ever really paid attention to the lyrics and thought about the biblical truths they represent? Terese chats with Hannah Kerr about the meaning behind the song. Below you will find the song lyrics and scriptures referenced in this episode.

Same God: God the Creator. God the Comforter. God the Christ
The same God who makes the planets spin
Tells the tide when it should rise
Put the color in my eyes
Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Psalm 139:13-14
You’re catching every tear as it falls
I know You’ll never change
Even when I’m feeling far away
He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken. Isaiah 25:8
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
You’re a God of grace and empathy
You know how it feels to cry
’cause You lived a human life
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15
If you’ve ever looked back on your life in awe of where you were and where you are now, you can relate to Anne Wilson. Maybe you’ve heard her song, “My Jesus” on Family Life. It was a horrific tragedy that showed her where God wanted her to be. And now she is walking in His will.

This is a beautiful time of year. There is so much that is new and fresh, that it can’t help but remind you of how God renews us day by day. One of my favorite things to do in the spring and summer is garden. I’ve learned a thing or two over the years. I’ve also had a lot of time to think while digging in the dirt. It’s a great place to clear your mind and pray. Let’s till up some of the spiritual lessons I’ve gained in God’s Garden.

Mother’s Day isn’t something that was celebrated in the Bible. You can thank Hallmark for that. But God does give us some great examples in the moms He used in His Word. And their traits are something we can strive for whether we have children or not. It’s patience, faithfulness and blessings we’ll be looking at in this episode.

Never say never. You’ve probably heard that phrase before. Never is a powerful word. Because it’s absolute. Definitive. No wiggle room with never. So when never shows up in the Bible, we need to pay attention. It’s God’s way of being firm. Not wavering in His promises. In this episode, Terese goes through the Bible, with verses of God’s promises of “never” and “always.”

Have you ever asked the question, “What would Jesus do?” Well, Jesus loved to ask questions. When you see a question mark in your Bible, in red letters, it’s a good habit to ask your own question, “What is Jesus really asking?” Usually there’s a deeper meaning—a bigger concept He is trying to get us to think about. So, let’s look at some of the things He asked and learn more about His heart.

It’s a teeny tiny book, with some pretty big lessons. Right between Amos and Jonah lies the Book of Obadiah. There’s some history and some application waiting in these 21 verses.
